It’s here, after the six weeks of relaxation and lie ins, it’s actually here. Although we haven’t had the sunniest of summers, the weeks of cancelling family BBQ’s or planning to sunbathe in that torrential British downpour we had to tolerate seems like a dream for what you’re about to endure. It’s back to school for teachers and teaching staff this week, and although it’s the same protocol every year, it doesn’t seem to get any less tedious. Teacherboards Community has created an all too relatable post for you to read and hopefully lift your spirits!
The Night Before:
So after the abundance of ‘back to school’ adverts that took over your television screen, you have been fully aware that the six week holidays are coming to an end. It’s now the night before and you’re trying to cram in all the relaxation rituals you can remember, but the screech of the school bell and the flashbacks of screaming children in the playground are dampening the vibe.
Pulling Yourself Together:
You’re minds racing between inspirational teaching quotes and thoughts of ‘do I really need this job’?
You’re in school now, you managed it this far and maybe you’re feeling more positive. There’s only one way to try keep this feeling fixed; coffee, coffee, and more coffee.
You might have thought you were the most organised person in the world over summer. You’ve alphabetised and labelled everything and your classroom looks spick and span, but where on earth did you put today’s lesson plan? Have you got all of your classroom essentials? Check out our TeacherBoards website to grab your last minute classroom accessories!
When the children arrive and there’s a 50/50 split of excitement and dread concerning their feelings of the first day back at school. You’re inspirational back to school statements to get the ball rolling may need a bit of work…
The first staff meeting is coming up and you all share your ideas that you’ve prepped during the holidays, be prepared for these must-haves and helpful ideas to be hypothetically thrown in the bin.
Not Long Now:
The school day is in full swing but all you’ve been doing is having a staring competition with the classroom clock.
That Friday Feeling:
Is seems like years since you last felt the comforting warmth of your own home, but the school day has finally ended. Well done you made it, only 4 more days till Friday!
